Devons and….Somalis??

I have loved the Somali breed since I first discovered them in a book of cat breeds when I was a child. I was so drawn to their foxlike appearance (especially their tails!)…While showing my Devons in Lexington, KY during the 2023 season, I  was benched right next to the most handsome 4 month old Somali kitten. His owner allowed me to try him in agility and I instantly knew he was destined for greatness from his very first attempt at the course! That kitten is now GC, BWR, RW, AGN Tadofa Jumping Beans of Fernweh and was the Agility Cat of the Year. Lovingly called JB, he became the start of a great partnership with Tadofa Somalis. We are so excited for the future!

In our first year co-owning Somalis with Tadofa cattery, our cats earned the National awards of Best and Second Best of Breed R1-9! JB was also a Regional Winner, Agility Grandmaster, Best Cat in Agility (Regionally and Nationally), and an 8 month old Baby Grand Champion (achieving both his GC and AG in the same prestigious Cotton States show)!

Rocky had a later start as he arrived the the US as an 8 month old, but he also achieved his Agility Grandmaster and became a Grand Champion and Second Best of Breed Nationally (Best of Breed Region 7). He is the sweetest boy and we are very proud of him!
